Daniel was employed by Valley Children's Hospital as a respiratory therapist for over 35 years. Throughout his career, he touched on all aspects of respiratory care from bedside to education to transport. His primary focus was the neonatal intensive care unit. He was known to be a true advocate for his patients, always going above and beyond to ensure their well-being, while supporting and educating families about their child's care. With his vast knowledge and skill set, he was a mentor to many in his field.
Daniel loved to work with his hands. He enjoyed spending time out in his shop creating, fixing, building, and restoring his Yukon. He could do a bit of everything and where he lacked knowledge, he made up for in determination to succeed.
Over the years, Daniel has taken treasured photographs of family and friends. Not only was he a talented photographer, he had the ability to turn a photograph into a painted canvas. He brought many canvases to life with his artistic abilities. In addition to photography and painting, he also carried a deep passion for music wherever life took him - a lifestyle that he shared with his children, Laura and Thomas.
Daniel loved to play a multitude of sports, including tennis, baseball, and golf. He could not get enough of the great outdoors - wildlife, fishing and the annual family camping trip to Fish Camp, California, where he was always drawn to the sound of rushing water and the endless search for crawdads. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at the coast with the highlight being a bonfire on the beach, while watching the sunset.
It was a great catharsis for Daniel to work out in the yard and spend time with his forever puppy, Max; it did not matter how old Max was, he was always Daniel's puppy.
Daniel touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Cheyanne Collister-Sindt; children, Laura Sindt and Thomas Sindt; siblings William (Meg) Sindt, Matthew Sindt, Carie Sindt and John Sindt; along with his aunt, Carolyn Balliet.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Daniel at New Hope Community Church, 4620 Nees Avenue, Clovis, California 93611. The service will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM followed by a reception at the church.
