Retired unit secretary Denise Tamblin’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. Denise passed away on June 10, 2021 at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded in her final days by her family who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Denise was born in Milford, Massachusetts, fourth daughter of the late Thomas Arthur Spencer and the late Jeanette (Johnson) Spencer. She obtained her high school diploma at Hopedale Jr. – Sr. High in Hopedale, Massachusetts. She then spent a short period of time living in Washington D.C. and working at the telephone company. While in Washington, she met her future husband, Brian Tamblin. After a whirlwind romance of just 3 months, Denise and Brian knew they were meant for each other and were married in the UK and made their home in Plymouth, England. While in the UK, Denise started her own family with Brian before eventually returning to the United States and residing in Hopedale, MA and working for Milford Regional Medical Center. Denise and her family relocated to Clovis, CA where she then worked as a unit secretary for Saint Agnes Medical Center for approximately twenty-one years.

Denise lived the remainder of her life in Clovis with her family nearby. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to her. Denise loved a quiet evening at home with her family and a good movie. Denise loved shopping, baking treats for her family, and playing Candy Crush. She was known for both her homemade red velvet cake and potato salad. She always took joy in laughing and joking around with her family. She was an outgoing woman who could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. Strangers frequently commented on her Boston accent and beautiful blue eyes.

Denise is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Brian Tamblin; her three children, Tracy Basa, David Tamblin, and Sara Tamblin and their spouses; and her two grandsons, Kane Basa & Dalton Tamblin. Additionally, she is survived by 1 sister, Jeryl McParland. Denise was also the sister of the late Lesley Murray and Donna Sparks.

The family will miss the feisty spirit and laughter of Denise but will continue to hold her memory close to their hearts.
