Emma May Johnson, a beloved resident of Clovis, California, passed away on August 13, 2025, at the remarkable age of 102. Born on January 1, 1923, Emma was a family-oriented individual who was deeply loved by all who knew her.
Emma's life was filled with the joy of family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Always putting her family first. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Bill, for over 40 years. They enjoyed traveling and hunting with family until Bill's passing in 1984. Her love for NASCAR was well-known. Ernie Irvan was her favorite driver until his retirement. Jimmy Johnson took that esteemed place. Emma also had a green thumb and was an avid gardener.
Emma is survived by her loving children: Richard Johnson, Tom Johnson, Bonnie Erlewine, Ted Johnson, Linda Johnson-Elia, and Dale Johnson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William R. Johnson. Emma's legacy extends to her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Emma May (Rush) Johnson will be fondly remembered for her dedication to her family, her strength, and loving spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
