He was known for his love of the outdoors, archery, and hunting. He would spend hours shooting his bow or would take off to the mountains to hike. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Jay Nelson's life was characterized by having a loving and helpful nature. If something was needed Jay would make sure it was done.
He Joined the Navy after 9-11 where he served two tours overseas, one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan.
He is survived by Richard Nelson(father), Dianna Avery(mother), Brad Nelson(Brother), Rick Nelson(Brother), Jay Nelson(son), Ashlie Nelson(daughter), and Michael Nelson(son).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow starting at 2:00 p.m at Boice Funeral Home 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis,CA 93612
