Born in Van Nuys, California on July 11, 1949, Linda was the second daughter of LoRee and Dale Wilson. She spent her early years in Wyoming and later moved back to California.
She met her future husband once back in California and married James “Jim” Fairbanks in 1967. Linda and James raised two children in Clovis, California, Becky Strickland (Fairbanks) and Brian Fairbanks. Linda was known to brag about her children and grandchildren to whoever would listen.
Linda last worked as an administrative secretary for California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). She was known to have a love of bunnies and horses. Linda had a green thumb and enjoyed nurturing her plants and sharing her plants with others as gifts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Loree, her sister Cheryl Wilson, and her husband, James Fairbanks.
She is survived by daughter Becky Strickland and her husband Jay, son Brian Fairbanks and his wife Karyn, grandchildren Kylie Strickland and her husband Fernando, Kaylyn Strickland, Krista Strickland, Brett Cunningham, and Samuel Fairbanks and his wife Samantha.
In addition, Linda is survived by four great grandchildren: Elizabeth Cunningham, Maverick Cunningham, Sawyer Fairbanks, and Sasha Fairbanks.
Per Linda’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. Her family asks those who knew her to remember her in their own way – a shared story, a simple act of kindness, or a funny memory.
