Paul Dean

Paul Dean was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, partner, and friend during his incredible 71 years of life. He was born on July 2, 1953 in Hartford, Connecticut and entered into rest in the early hours of Monday, August 26, 2024 in Clovis, California.

Born into a family of 13 siblings, Paul experienced a nomadic early life, moving with his father and stepmother across Ohio, Illinois, and other areas before settling in Corpus Christi, Texas, for five years. In 1964, the family relocated to California, where they worked as migrant laborers. After arriving in the Central Valley, Paul attended high school in Fresno. He joined the Marine Corps, serving honorably before being discharged in 1974. In 1976, Paul married and welcomed two daughters into the world. Paul was a skilled diesel technician; he bought his company in 1982 and successfully ran it until selling it in 2012. He later moved to Idaho, where he lived for six years before relocating to Clovis, California.

Paul cherished the great outdoors through hunting and fishing, enjoyed the thrill of riding his Harley, and relished time spent with friends. His passions extended to traveling, savoring a cold beer, and the camaraderie of playing poker. His zest for life and joyful spirit will be deeply missed.

Throughout his life, Paul demonstrated unwavering dedication to his family and work. His journey reflects a remarkable spirit of perseverance and adaptation. He is survived by his son, Dean Dior; his daughter, Bonnie Dean; his grandchildren, Alexity Dean, Paul Jett Lee Dean, and Joey Rodriguez; his great-grandchild, Forest Estrada; and his cherished relationships and friends, whose lives were deeply touched by Paul’s presence. Though his departure leaves a profound void, we find solace in the cherished memories and enduring love he shared with us all. We will remember Paul for his adventurous spirit, his playful heart, his steadfast support, his courage, and his profound wisdom.

Paul's life, filled with challenges and achievements, will be remembered with love and respect. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on those who knew him.

A Visitation for Paul will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
