Bob was born in Fresno, California on December 30, 1927 to George and Ethel Miller.
After graduation from Clovis High School, he worked as a welder at his dad’s garage and blacksmith shop repairing and building farm equipment. In 1950 he was hired by The County of Fresno to weld underground pipeline along the roads and streets of Fresno. Bob was employed by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department in October 1953. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1965. After a fulfilling career with the Sheriff’s Department, he retired on July 31, 1977.
Bob was married to Bernice Sue Sherman for 14 years. They had two daughters, Nancy and Debbie. He is survived by his daughters and a niece, Marlene Reed (John) and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth, parents George and Ethel Miller, his brother George Miller Jr., and nephew Steven Miller.
Bob was a member of Family Community Church. He truly loved his church family and Peace Officers in Christ Bible Study group.
