Russel Keith Lane, of Fresno and Clovis, California passed away on Monday January 13, 2025 at the age of 53.
Born on December 28, 1971, he was known for his wit, generosity, and love for his family. He was an electrical contractor who ran a successful business for over 20 years and had been an instructor for Fresno City College. He touched the lives of everyone he met (Russel could make a friend wherever he went), and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Russel's life was characterized by sticking true to his word, working hard, giving where he could give, and his love for his “girls”—Denice, Brielle and his Puppy Cat, Clara. He will be remembered for his kindness and his friendships, but more than anything he will be remembered for loving his wife, daughter, and parents.
Russel is survived by his wife, Denice Lane; his daughter, Brielle “Russ-elle” Lane; his parents, Keith and Louise Lane; his mother and father in-law, Virginia and Klaus Klement; his sister, Teresa Petty-Jones, and her children and grandchildren; his brothers in-law Sean, Stephen, and Shane Napier; and all of his friends whom he lovingly referred to as his brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life for Russel will be held at Boice Funeral Home in Clovis, California on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at noon, followed with a graveside service and reception. This will be a closed-casket service.

Flowers and donations to charities are welcome, but to really honor Russel, love the people around you, give to those in need, and give your life to the Lord our God—you won’t regret it, and the world will be a better place.
