William Mcguire

William (Bill) Patrick McGuire was the eldest son of Irish immigrant parents who grew up in Rye, New York. He lived a full life. After graduating from Boston College he embarked on a successful career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Manager. He married Diane Fessenden and they adopted two children, Shannon and Devin. The family lived throughout the United States and ultimately settled in California. Once retired, Bill moved back to his roots in New York where he lived in a beautiful lake house in Copake. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf and the stock market. Most of all he loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. This love for his family motivated him later in life to move back to California to be near them. Bill was a generous, hardworking and kind man. He developed Alzheimer’s and was eventually cared for by the compassionate and devoted staff at Somerford Place in Fresno, California. He succumbed to this disease while resting peacefully on Tuesday, May 24th, 2011. Bill will be remembered by his family as a devoted father and grandfather, an enthusiastic golfer and traveler and a reliable and caring man. He will be greatly missed.
