Barbara Ann Reznicek

1936-2016

On Friday, March 11, 2016, Heaven gained an angel. Barbara Barrett Reznicek passed away in her home in Churchill, Texas. Barbara was born on January 6, 1936 in Conroe Texas to Delma and Selma (Brumley) Barrett. She graduated from Sealy High School in 1954. She enjoyed a long career as a paralegal in Houston, Texas before retiring to Churchill, Texas in 2002.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William; son Scott Reznicek and wife Pamela (Dana Point, CA); daughter Wendi Blohm and husband David (Canyon Lake, TX) and son Larry Reznicek (Rosharon, TX). Among Barbara’s proudest accomplishments were her granddaughters Brittany Elliott, Courtney, Brianna and Danielle Reznicek, and grandsons Duane and Travis Reznicek and the light of her life, great granddaughter, Addison Grace Elliott. She is also survived by her brother Malcolm Barrett and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delma and Selma (Jean) Barrett (Sugar Land, Texas); sisters Norma Jean Voitle (The Woodlands) and Sandy Freda (Bedford Hills, NY) and brother Buddy Barrett (Bay City, TX).

Visitation will be Friday, March 18th, at 11:00 am followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm. Services will be held at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
