Billy Bryan Bullock, 69, of Lake Jackson, went to be with his Lord January 13 2016 after a heroic fight with cancer. Billy was born October 27 1946 to Walter Daniel Bullock and Maxine (Curl) in Jefferson, Iowa. He, his parents and three sisters lived in Dallas, Clute, and Angleton before eventually settling in Sweeny where Billy’s father went to work for Dow Chemical.
Billy was a 1965 graduate of Sweeny High School. He proudly played football for the Sweeny Bulldogs. Shortly after graduating, Billy married Judy (Winscott) Autenrieth in 1966, started a family and followed in his father’s footsteps and began his lifetime career at Dow Chemical. Billy was a utility man, insulator, process operator, and eventually retired from Dow as a lab technician. Billy purchased his river house where he loved bringing up his sons, fishing, and remodeling throughout the years. Billy was always seeking more education and took a class for anything and everything he wanted to learn. He earned his associate’s degree (and many more credit hours!) from Brazosport College in 1998.
Billy met the love of his life, Rosemary (Rangel), in 1986. Rosemary is forever thankful to her close friends, Patsy Canales & Diana Gomez, who convinced her to go out the evening Billy met Rosemary. Never apart since, Billy married his love August 17 1991. Billy gained two daughters in Rosemary’s young girls.
Billy always made time and drove the distance for his sons’ sports and activities. He enjoyed snow skiing trips with his sons, dancing, and water sports. Later, Billy enjoyed his grandchildren and especially loved attending their sporting events, recitals, and activities. He dearly loved his family and Texas A&M football.
Billy is preceded in death by his father, Walter Daniel Bullock. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Rosemary Rangel Bullock of Lake Jackson, mother Maxine Curl Bullock of Lake Jackson, son Darryn Bullock of Spring TX, son Craig (Angela) Bullock of Spring TX, son Chris (Kathy) Bullock of Round Rock TX, step-daughter Jennifer (Richard) Graves of Sulphur Springs TX, step-daughter Amy Perez of Lake Jackson, sisters Dana Long, Debbie (Dickie) Williams, and Cindy Clay, brother-in-law Rick (Sheila) Rangel, eight grandchildren, Daniel Bullock, Alyssa Bullock, Aiden Greenberg, Dylan Bullock, Kaiya Bullock, Georgia Bullock, Cannon Graves, and Evan Graves; special niece Lissette Rangel; and many more nieces and nephews.
