

Carrie Suzanne Russell Kessner, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, Tia, and friend passed from this life January 17, 2026. She was born January 23, 1957 to David W. “Bill” Russell and Mary Jane Russell in El Paso Texas, who both preceded her in death as well as her daughter’s father, Darryl Kessner.
Carrie is survived by her daughter, Katharyn Kessner Boudreaux and husband Cole; grandsons, Landon and Truett Boudreaux; sister, Hazel Rosenberger and husband Kent; nephew, Stephen Rosenberger; niece, Jordan Meskin and husband Andrew; great nieces, Harper and Hannah Meskin; lifelong friends, Dolores Lugo Morales and Lily Lugo Metcalfe; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Carrie was the kind of friend that always listened and never judged. She was generous with anything she had, but, always with her time. Carrie kept friends for life. From childhood to her work life, as well as old neighbors and new neighbors.
A visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home, located at 1038 West Plantation Drive, Clute, Texas, 77531, on January 30, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A celebration of Carrie's life will take place at the same venue on January 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The committal service will follow at Restwood Memorial Park, also at 1038 West Plantation Drive, Clute, Texas, 77531, on January 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
Pallbearers will be Cole Boudreaux, Kent Rosenberger, David Martin, Jeff Clark, David Higgins, and Ron Ruhmann. Honorary pallbearers will be Landon Boudreaux , Truett Boudreaux, and Stephen Rosenberger.
