

Cleo Charlene Adkins Brimage (MAMAW) of Lake Jackson, was born April 10, 1920 in Kiowa, Oklahoma to Bessie (Seaton) and Charlie Adkins and passed away on January 31, 2013 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family in Lake Jackson, Texas at the age of 92 years. Mamaw is loved by many, she made a difference in the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a Charter member of the FOE #3111 Ladies Auxiliary. She was inducted into the Southern Brazoria County Hall of Fame in 2011 for all of her great accomplishments. After managing the Bowling centers for 36 years, she retired and became everyone's favorite "Door Greeter" at Wal-Mart. Not only did she love her work, she loved everyone she worked with. She went out of her way to help anyone she could, and was always concerned with the well-being of others. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Bessie Adkins, her husband of 60 years Tablert Brimage, her siblings, James, Paul, Bill and Willie Adkins, her loving daughter Marlene Collier and great-grandson Zakk Brimage. Left to cherish in her memory is her son Gary Brimage and wife Lisa, Her son in law Burnell Collier Jr., her loving granddaughter Regina Collier, who she cherished dearly, grandchildren; Eugina Collier, Rick Collier and wife Kim, Troy Brimage and wife Sabrina, Gary Brimage Jr and wife Maria, Alisha Klehm and husband Kevin, and Jared Brimage. Great-grandchildren; Kerri Wade, Kobi Hendrix, Krystn Holladay, Taylor, Brett. Jessie, Sara, Breanna, Brendon Brimage, Kaylyn and Kyla Klehm, Shelby and Jacob Collier. As well as her nieces and nephews; Samantha Adkins Odom and husband Tommy, Melton Adkins and wife Amarylis, B. R. Hollis and husband Melvin, and Debbie McCoslin and husband Jimmy. And many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
