Dorothy Cox

Dorothy Irene Cox, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton, Texas. Dorothy was born on October 8, 1919 to Lowell Masters and Addie Masters in Plymouth, Indiana. She graduated from Plymouth High School, and married Tom Eugene Ferguson in December 1942. After 22 years of service she retired from United Technologies, Inc. Several years after her retirement, Dorothy relocated to the Houston Clear Lake Area in 1982, and then to Lake Jackson, in 1987.

Dorothy was a member of Brazosport Baptist Temple in Angleton, Texas. She was predeceased by her parents and beloved brother Brooker Masters.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; loving daughters, Rebecca Newcomb of Lake Jackson, and Vicki Libby of Avon Indiana, five grandchildren Michael and James Newcomb, Seth, Chelsea, Whitney Libby and three great grandchildren, Rowyn Libby, Nolan and Elliana Newcomb.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 at the Restwood Funeral Home and funeral Services will also be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
