Efrain Medrano, pastor of Templo La Hermosa, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27; at Restwood Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., May 28, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Efrain was born November 14, 1956 in Donna, Texas to Paulino and Juanita Medrano. He had been pastor at Templo La Hermosa for the past 7 years. He enjoyed spending his time serving his Lord, spreading the gospel and sharing the love of Jesus. He also worked as an electrician for the Angleton school district. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by numerous family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers’ Cresenciano Medrano, Raymundo Medrano; and sister Nicasia Hernandez.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years Ramona Medrano; daughters Viviann Oberoi and husband Bobby, Ramona Garza and husband Daniel; son Efrain Medrano, Jr. and wife Esmeralda; 7 grandchildren; sister Petra Alejo; brother Eusebio Medrano; and numerous nieces and nephews.
