She is survived by her 2 sons, Rey Hernandez Jr. (Christina) and Jesus Hernandez (Grace); her grandchildren, Rey Hernandez III (Emily), Josh Gutierrez, Esperanza “Espie” Hernandez; her nephew Juan Mendoza II who she raised as her son; her brother, Rick Mendoza (Lupe) and sister Ofelia Corona (Juan); and along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Victoriana Mendoza; daughter, Francisca Hernandez; brothers, Juan Mendoza and Arthur Mendoza, sisters-in-law Lupe Mendoza and Sarah Mendoza.
Emma will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who enjoyed being around her family especially the BBQ’s at her brother Rick’s house and if you knew her, she never hesitated to voice her opinion whether it was asked or not. She always cherished the time she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted Grandmother and loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
