Frank Paul Newcomb Sr. was born on November 24, 1940 in Richmond, Virginia to Lena E. and Paul Garland Newcomb, and passed away on August 17, 2013 at the age of 72. Frank’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He celebrated 50 years of marriage to the love of his life, Shirley. A bigger than life personality, he never met a stranger and often entertained family and friends by singing beloved oldies and hymns. He was also proud of his Masonic heritage. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Newcomb of Rosenberg, Texas, by his daughters; Tracy Perry of Lake Jackson, Texas and Terri Walden of Clear Lake, Texas, by his son, Frank Newcomb Jr. of Lake Jackson, Texas, by his sister, Chris Marsh, and ten grandchildren. A Memorial Service has been scheduled for Friday August 23, 2013 at 3pm at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas with Chaplain David Wilson as minister. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations be made to help out with funeral expenses. We will miss his beautiful voice; his horse whistle; his tight hugs and kisses; and his faithful saying of “I’m proud of you.” We love you and are very proud of you, Paw Paw.
