

He was married to the late Patricia Ann Garcia (Aguilar) in Lake Jackson, TX on October 21, 1972.
George worked for AT&T for over 35 years, starting off as a lineman and retiring as Area Manager- Engineering for the Greater Houston area. Throughout his career, George served as a career mentor to many local employees.
George was an active member of his community. He played softball with his company teams, was involved with Communities in Schools, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
George was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. He was kind-hearted, quick-witted, and devout in his faith. George had a great collection of books, music, and WWII memorabilia. He enjoyed playing his saxophone. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1971. George and his wife, Patsy, first met at a local dance when they were 15 years old and were inseparable until her death. He loved and spoiled his grandchildren who knew him as their “G.” His house was open to all, even if you were rooting against his Dallas Cowboys!
Preceded in Death by wife Patsy Garcia; parents Ramón Garcia, Lupe Luna, Julie Garcia, and Tommy Luna; sister Delphina Rangel; niece Emilee Taft; and nephew Ben Eric Perez.
He is survived by daughter Carin (Jeff) Greene, son Daniel (Tina) Garcia, and daughter Christina Garcia; siblings Bobby Garcia, Lee Garcia, Larry Luna, Lena Luna Martin, Laura Taft, Andy Garcia, Edward Garcia, Julia Marie Crane, Duve Reyes, and Raymond Garcia; grandchildren Sofia Greene, Jack Greene, Laine Garcia, and Ethan Garcia; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to George’s caregiver, Cherie Alexander, for her loving care and becoming part of the family.
Serving as Pallbearers are Jack Greene, Johnny Salinas, Benjamin Martin, Michael Solis Jr., Jakob Cisneros, and Marc Aguilar.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ethan Garcia, Lucas Theriot, JJ Cisneros, Patrick Aguilar, Christopher Aguilar, Eddie Angulo, Michael Solis, and Steven Aguilar.
A Visitation will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, Texas on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, with a Rosary starting at 6:30pm.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, Texas on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00am, followed by a graveside service at Restwood Memorial Park.
