Jose was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired as a Safety Team Leader. He also volunteered for the Freeport Fire Department where he loved to help others who were in need of medical attention or fire assistance.
He is survived by his wife Esperanza, daughters Sylvia Santillan and husband Jesus, Monica Jauregui and husband Jose, granddaughter Perla Jauregui and sister Alice Santoyo.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freeport until the time of the rosary at 10 a.m. Following the rosary will be a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
