Lillie Mae Hunter, of Sargent, Texas was born on the 30th of July 1942 in Houston, Texas to Martha Lou (McGarity) and Willie Aaron Cherry and died on the 22nd of February at her home in Sargent at the age of 70. Lillie worked many years tending bar and being a caregiver to many people. She enjoyed playing games on her computer, bowling, reading books, watching movies and her biggest thrill was fishing! She was a special person and family was very important to her. She was the “mother hen”, generous, strong, good hearted and ornery!! She was not afraid to speak her mind and was painfully honest. She was the best mother anyone could ask for! She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Raymond Earl Hunter. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Ren’ee Hunter of Sargent, Texas; sister, Bobbie Lou Welch of Brazoria, Texas; sisters-in-law, Hank Miskell, Shirley and her husband Johnny Morgan, Carolyn and her husband Tommie Hunter Sr.; numerous other family members and her beloved pet, Raylie Elizabeth Hunter.
