Marvin Lee Johnson Jr.

Marvin Lee Johnson Jr, 84, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away on May 17, 2021. Marvin was born to Marvin Johnson, and Linna LaSalle, in Normangee, Texas. Marvin married Judith Lee Rogers in Lake Jackson, Texas on November 6, 1976.

Marvin worked as a senior Carpenter for Dow Chemical for 32 years. Worked for Martin Oil as a filling station attendant for 3 years. Went to Lake Jackson Intermediate School. Went to Brazosport High School. Graduated from Milby High School in Houston. Got Distinguished Artist Award Junior year of High School. Attended First Baptist Church of Sweeny, First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson and watched Second Baptist Church of Houston. He liked to garden, paint pictures and work with wood.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Linna Johnson; daughter, Lynn Johnson; and his sister Eunice (Dudley) Yonge.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Judith Johnson; sister, Shirley (Dennis) Denton; Son, Justin Johnson; and daughters, Linda (Dean) Calizo, and Dawn (Andrew) Zicchino.

Serving as Pallbearers are, Rickey Fritts, Grandson; Gage Fritts, Great Grandson; Brandon Fritts, Great Grandson; Eddie Baxter, Grandson in law; Steve Fisher, Son in law; and Fred Creekmore, Great Nephew.

A Visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Monday May 24, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

The Funeral Service will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Monday May 24, 2021 at 2:00pm, followed by the graveside at Restwood Memorial Park.
