Michelle Renee Shipman

Michelle Renee Shipman, 60, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2026. She was born to Johnny and Charlene Shipman on October 8, 1965, in Dayton, Texas. A resident of Lake Jackson, Michelle will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew and loved her.

Michelle found genuine joy in life’s simple, steady blessings, days spent camping, time at the beach, and the quiet patience of fishing. Her love for being outdoors was matched by the care she gave to what mattered most: spending time with family. Even in ordinary moments, Michelle carried a thoughtful presence that made others feel welcomed and at ease. She also delighted in the small pleasures that brought a bit of fun to everyday life, including shopping on Temu.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Shipman; her mother, Charlene Shipman; her cousin, Mandy Edelmon; her grandmother, Ruby Shipman; her grandfather, JE Shipman; and her son-in-law, Bill Richardson.

Left to cherish Michelle's memory are her daughter, Leslie Richardson; her sons, Rodney Crews (Kindelle) and Curtis Gunter (Jana); and many more bonus children. She also leaves behind her brother, Johnny Shipman (Diane); her niece, Krystal Finnegan (Ryan); her nephews, Cory Shipman (Joy) and Derrick Shipman (Brittany); and her grandchildren, Caden, Bryant, Ryland, Broc, Grayson, Presley, Wyatt, Sam, Tegan, and Garrett.
