Mildred Johnstone, 88, of Houston, TX passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, at Restwood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 16 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Jackson, TX. Entombment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Mildred was born February 26, 1926 to John Eipper and Edna Howard in in Chilhowee, Missouri. She was known for her award winning recipe for spice cake and enjoyed spending her time gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed by numerous family members and friends.
She is preceded by her husband, Arthur Johnstone, her parents, John Eipper and Edna Howard, sisters, Dorothy Collins and Frances Sanders, and Half-brothers, Charlie and Jake Eipper.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Harold & wife Lucinda Johnstone of Lake Jackson, TX. Jeffery and wife Pura Johnstone of Houston, TX. Grandchildren, Allyson, Jonathan, and Carter.
