Perry Franklin Shrum

Perry was born to Loyd Eugene Shrum and Rozella Buchanan Shrum on February 20, 1945 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Perry married Leslie Ann Barthelmess in Clute, TX on September 9, 1972.

Perry proudly served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969.

Perry had a love for fishing and spending time outdoors, birds; especially purple martins, building and fixing things. He was a member of Victory Church and spent many hours volunteering there. Above all, Perry loved his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

Perry is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Loyd & Rozella Shrum; mother in law, Iris Barthelmess; brothers, Don Mac Shrum & Lloyd E Shrum; and brother in law, Lawrence Piwonka.

Perry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Leslie Shrum; daughter & son in law, Tamra & Roger Stone Jr.; daughter and son in law, Tara Shrum & Matthew Covey; grandchildren, Roger Stone III, Savannah Stone, Maddie Covey, Melanie Covey, and Mason Covey (due in January); sisters, Linda Piwonka, Ray Nell Presley & Laverne Chandler; nephews, Larry Piwonka & Anthony Piwonka as well as numerous other nieces & nephews.

Memorial services will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM; at Victory Church 208 Lazy Lane Brazoria, TX 77422
