Richard Allen Baragar, 45 of Lake Jackson, TX., unexpectedly passed away on 23 May 2020. Allen was born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard V. Baragar on January 15, 1975 in Omaha, NE. Allen married Mindy Wilson Casey in Lake Jackson, TX on June 14th, 2014.
Allen graduated from Del Rio High, Del Rio, TX; he went on to attend the University of Houston, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming followed by a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was currently attending University of St. Thomas where he would have received his master’s degree in Education this coming December. He had already been accepted into Abilene Christian University to begin working on his Doctoral. He was a member of Delta Sigma PI, Business Society and Kappa Delta PI, Honor Society. He was an Assistant Professor at Brazosport College at the time of his death.
Allen was preceded in death by his Mother, Jean Baragar; Grandparents, Dean & Ruth Baragar, Ike & Dot Fortner; Uncle, Ronnie Baragar; Aunt, Betty Fairley and Grandfather in Law, Travis Roper.
He is survived by his wife Mindy; sons, Jakob, Breyden, Sammy, Noah and Trace; his father, Richard V. Baragar; brother, Shaun (Sarah) Aurin; In-laws, David & Michele Wilson; sister-in-law, Misty Wilson; brother-in-law, Danny (Kenzie) Wilson; Grandmother, in Law Paula Roper; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.
A Gathering to Share Memories of Allen will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, TX from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Allen's Life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, TX at 3:00 p.m.
