Robert Austin Gautney Sr.

Robert was born on December 5,1936 in Birmingham, AL to the late Odus P. Gautney Sr. and Edna.

Robert enjoyed spending time with friends and family,and would usually have a ready list of jokes and random facts to share with you. He was a weather forecaster in the Army and enjoyed observing the weather and would inform you of any eminent weather here on the Gulf coast. He had a dear love for his dogs as well, and named them all after cities in Texas.

Robert served in the United States Army from 1958-1970. As well as a tour in Viet Nam 1967-1968

His career included General Foreman Ironworker local 135, General Foreman Pipefitter local 211, Multicraft Supervisor VA medical center Dallas Tx.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Suzanne Gautney, brother O.P. Gautney Jr. sister Birdie Kirl and son Robert A. Gautney Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Casady (Len) Alvin Tx., bonus sons Russell Grimes (Marcy) Cat Spring Tx. Jay Grimes (Alisha)Angleton, Tx, and many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.
