Robert Dean Mickle, Jr., 63, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Visitation will be from 1-2 on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 followed by the funeral service at 2 pm at Restwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert was born September 22, 1950 in Port Lavaca, TX. He was a Vietnam veteran who served his country in the navy and retired from Dow chemical. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking out, and had a great sense of humor. He also enjoyed reading, watching, and talking about history.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert Dean Mickle, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Fern Thrasher Mickle, son Robert Mickle and his wife Tera, daughters Alecia Scruggs and her husband Allen, Deanna Pitts and her husband Terry, and Amanda Mickle; 10 grandchildren Mathew, Dylan, Kayla, Nathan, Austin, Destiny, Christian, Gracie, Faith, and Hope; brothers Terry Mickle and his wife Cheryl, and Bruce Mickle and his wife Patty. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed.
