Roger Kenque Blanchard, age 76, of Angleton, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Roger was born on December 20th, 1946 to Archie and Tassie Blanchard. Roger married Linda Lee Lookingbill on May 19, 1969.
Roger served in the US Army starting at 17, for about 3 years until he was medically discharged. He worked many years with the local construction companies until he was injured on the job and retired. Roger loved electronics, taking apart and fixing everything he could and had almost every gaming consoles. He enjoyed motorcycles, scuba diving, and was apart of a bowling league that met every week. He also loved astronomy, buying his daughter Connie a telescope, and waking her up to look at the stars and every astrological event. Roger was a huge animal lover, having multiple dogs and cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his in laws, Robert and Irma Lookingbill; sister, Una Blanchard; brothers, Bobby, and Hugh (Pat); sister-in-law, Chiyoko; and grandson Mitchell Pate.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lee Blanchard; daughter, Connie; son, Roger Joe (Tami) Pate; grandchildren, Jessica (Thomas) Blevins, and Adam Pate; sister, Patsy (Barney) Boudreaux; brother-in-law, Robert Lookingbill; sister-in-law, Deborah Lookingbill, and Norma Riley; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brian Boudreaux, Archie Blanchard, Frank Blanchard, Patrick Blanchard, Johnnie Jones, and Craig Hatcher.
A visitation for Roger will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W. Plantation Dr Clute, TX 77531, followed by a Celebration of Roger's Life at 11:00 AM.
