San Juanita Duarte, of Lake Jackson, Texas was born August 1, 1951 in Rancho Nuevo, Municipo de Campo, Tamaulipas Mexico to Amelia Mata Martinez and died May 14, 2013 in Clute, Texas at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 13 days. She is preceded n death by her mother, Amelia Mata Martinez and her son, Santiago “Jim” Echartea. She is survived by her father, Moises Alonso Reyes; husband, Mike Duarte; sons, Omar Echartea and his wife Terry, Ivan Echartea and his wife Jessica, Daniel Echartea and his wife Liza Mileth; brothers, Gabriel, Magdiel, Moises, Jorge & Juan Alonso; sisters, Maria Elena, Rosio and Amelia Alonzo; grandchildren, Isneida, Omar, Julisa, Ivan Jr., Daniel Jr., Diego, Damileth; Aunt, Lucina Mata.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Restwood Funeral Home and from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday at Shady Oaks Assembly of God Church, 128 Flag Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Shady Oaks Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park with Gabriel Alonso, Magdiel Alonso, Moises Alonso, Jorge Alonso, Juan Alonso and Juan Vasquez serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be sons, Omar Echartea, Ivan Echartea, Daniel Echartea and grandsons, Omar, Ivan Jr., Daniel, Jr. and Diego.
