Silverio "Little Silver" Martinez III

Silverio Martinez III "Little Silver", age 28 of Pecos, Texas formerly of Freeport, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 8, 2012. He was born February 9, 1983, in Kingsville, Texas. "Little Silver" graduated from Uvalde High School in 2001 and attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville. He enjoyed soccer, the Dallas Cowboys, spending time with his family and friends, and loved cars. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pio Isidro Ortiz of La Joya and Rebecca Robles of Freeport; grandparents, Silverio and Angelita Martinez Sr. of Kingsville. He is survived by his parents Silverio and Diana Martinez Jr. of Freeport; his eldest sister, Norma and husband Brian Brege; his younger brother, Jacob Martinez; his baby sister, Belen Martinez; three nephews, Christian, Anthony, Ty Brege all of Freeport; his great grandmother, Margarita Ortiz of Reynosa Mexico; his aunts, Simona Mendoza of Freeport and Margarita Ortiz of Falfurrias; many other loving relatives and friends including his girlfriend Norma Perez and her children JJ, Breanna, and Alexis Jiminez all of Pecos; and friend Emri Sanchez of Uvalde. The family will receive friends Monday evening, February 13, 2012, from 5 until 7 pm at Restwood Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Monday. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Freeport with burial following in the Restwood Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Brege, Brian Brege, Anthony Brege, Jacob Martinez, JJ Jiminez, Filiberto Tijerina, Ramon Zambada, and Israel Prado.
