

Travis Scott Parsons, 36, of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2011 after a short but extremely brave battle with cancer. He was born August 22, 1975 in Freeport, Texas. Scott was an amazing and vivacious soul who savored life fully. He was a free spirit who was never afraid of being himself and his personality was infectious. During his very brief illness he was fearless and never once complained about a single thing. Scott was a truly amazing man and will be greatly missed, every person who met him fell in love with him and anyone who was blessed enough to meet him lost a true friend. There will never be anyone like him and we know he is looking down on us and dancing with the angels. Scott attended Angleton high school and Idyllwild School of music and the arts. He was an artist is residence with City Ballet of Houston and spent two summers studying and performing with the Boston ballet in Massachusetts. He was also awarded young choreographer of the year at the southwest regional ballet festival. He was a leasing manager at Zogg Inc. at the time of his passing. Scott is survived by his loving parents Horace and Linda Parsons of Angleton, Texas; sister, Susan Garlington and boyfriend Jackson Lynch of Austin; aunts and uncles, Mary Alice and Mike Czarowitz of Friendswood; Billy Miller of Angleton; Johnny and Margaret Miller of Alvin; Carol and Sadler Celestine of Alvin; cousins, Mary and Doyle Vandewater and children, Ridge, Logan, Ashley and Joshua of Angleton; Nancy and Robert Lee and son Christian of Houston; Natatia and Robert Harvey and children, Lacey, Nikki and Tommy of Friendswood; Thomas and Heather Williams of Poteet; Michelle and Jody Fiess and daughter Emily of Pearland; Stacy Hardy of Alvin; Kelli and Steve Moore and children, Rhett, Trenton, Hattie and Georgie of La Grange; Brandon Miller of Bastrop and children; Jace Miller of Waco and children. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lovie Mae Miller, Horace and Mary Odell Parsons and aunt, Judy Parsons. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday September 17, 2011 at Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton, Texas. Donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Scott's name. The family wishes to thank all of his care givers at Methodist Hospital, Kim Quinn, Marian, Roy, Eric, Freddy, the critical care team and Oncologist Dr. Zehra Kapadia-Unwala. The family would also to express their deepest and most sincere thanks to Michelle and Jody Fiess and Nancy Lee.
