A resident of the Angleton area since 1961. She was employed by Intermedics of Freeport for about 10 years and was a member of the Gulf Coast Rescue Squad prior to that. Born on June 2, 1920 in Rock Island County, Illinois, she attended Moline High School. After graduation, she married her loving husband “Kirk” and gave birth to her only child, Mike. She then worked in an airplane factory while her husband served as a medic during the Second World War. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, E. R. “Kirk” Kirkpatrick, her sister, Waunita Zissis and her brother Charles “Chuck” Allmendinger. She is survived by her loving family, her sister-in-law, Phyllis Allmendinger of East Moline, Illinois; her son, Michael L. Kirkpatrick and his wife Jean of Angleton, Texas. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Michael Alan, Sandra Kay and Tiffany Jade and two great grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
