Elias "Monstro" Gilberto Bonilla

Elias “Monstro” Gilberto Bonilla, age 44, of Cocoa, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Monstro was born on April 24, 1977 in Bronx, New York. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife Mairene. Dear father to Tabitha, Alicia, Samantha and Elias Jr. Beloved grandpa to Julianna, Jonah and Jance Jr.

He enjoyed spending his days listening to his country music, while working on motorcycles in his garage. In his famous words “Don’t worry I’ll have her running by next week!” The bond he had with his kids is and will always be an unbreakable bond. He enjoyed every moment of his family and had the pleasure of watching each and every one of his kids walk the path to a High School diploma (Spoiling the surprise that his oldest daughter would be graduating with a college degree in 2022). Unfortunately he made an exit before getting to walk his girls down the aisle but, his shoes will be well filled by the man he raised his son to be.

Aside from missing him dearly his soup will forever be missed. His passion for cooking always brought family, friends and even strangers together. He was a rock, better yet a foundation, for his family. When he was around he made sure no one would ever need or want for anything.

Decorating for the holidays were always chaos but, his favorite time of the year. Halloween and Christmas were always over the top at our house. Lights galore, blow up santas, Skeletons crawling all around. He enjoyed the neighborhoods kids reactions to seeing his light-shows (and also that he had the most decorations on the block). Traditions that will always be followed, cherished and remembered.

We Love you always, and will forever hold you in our hearts. Light every path we walk no matter where it takes us in life.
