Elizabeth Rice Von Boeckman

Palm Bay, Florida- Passed away peacefully at home and went to be with our Heavenly Father at the age of 59. She is survived by her two sons Jason VonBoeckman and Stephen Rice, granddaughter Scarlett VonBoeckman, brother James Rice, sister Kim Bates and mother Era Shoaf.

She is predeceased by her father Larance Rice and brother Larry Rice.

Liz will be lovingly remembered by all the family and numerous friends that loved her so much.

Liz was born in Miami Beach June 21, 1962 to Larance and Brownie Rice. She moved to Mims in 1972 at the age of 10, later to Port St. John and finally to the Palm Bay area in 1980 where she built her home and lived until her passing day. She was an accomplished self-taught piano player and also enjoyed crafts, gardening, baking, yard work, fishing, swimming, animals and pretty much anything outdoors. Liz was also a volunteer at Holmes Regional Medical Center for over 10 years and received numerous awards and accolades for her unselfish and generous time in support of volunteer services.

Her service will be at July 2nd at the Iglesia Bautista Baptist Church (79 Park Hill Blvd. Melbourne, Florida 32904) at 12:00 noon. Guests are invited to a viewing from 11:00am – 12:00 preceding the service. A burial will follow at Brevard Memorial Park (320 Spring St. Cocoa, Florida 32927).
