He was born in Evansville, Indiana, on June 30, 1941, to Huddie and Teresa Mardirosian and raised with his brother Louis and sister Teresa.
He served the Lord from his youth as an altar boy, and into adulthood as he marched for Life, served the homeless, and shepherded his family with the quiet virtue that endeared him to everyone he met. He met the love of his life, Sherlan Mardirosian, at Memorial High School. They married young and had their two daughters, Kathy and Karen, while he worked his way through college on a football scholarship, earning a Bachelor’s in Business. In those times, he would forgo his own meals in the campus dining hall to give to his wife, who was pregnant at the time. As the years passed, he worked diligently in the insurance business alongside Sherlan. After a long day at the office, he still came home at night, sat beside her while she took a bath, and listened to her talk about her day. The sound of their conversation lulled their daughters to sleep with the comfort of knowing they were in a house built on the foundation of eternal and selfless love.
A truly good sport who enjoyed the game more than winning, he was the kind of man everyone wanted on their doubles tennis team or to pass a football with, which he did with his three grandchildren, Sterling, Broderick, and Mikayla, whenever he could.
For an amateur race car driver, he knew how to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, and found peace in solitude as well as with family and friends. You could often find him outside — sailing, on a family bike ride, listening to the radio, or reading a good book.
We will miss sitting with him on the porch and going with him to the Daytona Speedway. We will miss the way he laughed while playing charades with the family, and the simple artistry of the model race cars he carved. We will miss him in the moments he never missed — our parties, our sports games, our performances, and our family meals. But we know we will see him again after the resurrection, where there is no illness and no death, only eternity with our God.
A Graveside service will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, located at 5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, on January 21, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm.
