John, you taught us so much and for that we will always be great full.  You will never be forgotten. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Grandpa John was such a fun grandpa. He was always loving and making us laugh as children.  I felt loved every time he was around.  

Grampa John taught me so much as a young boy, more than any other man ever has. He taught me how to build things, how to use power tools, how to operate heavy equipment, how to paint, construction, landscaping and many other things I use to this very day. Many of these lessons came in the form of chores, jobs he would take me on with him and home improvement projects, but he usually would give a few bucks for helping out! Most of all, Grampa John taught me patience and kindness towards others. He was probably the most patient man I have ever met, and he genuinely wanted to help others whenever he could. He was very much a father figure throughout my childhood and I have always respected him for that. I remember when I would tell him that I loved him and he would simply reply, "Yep." That was all he really needed to say, because I knew how much he loved me through his actions and genuine caring for me and our family. I miss you Grampa, but the lessons you taught me will remain with me through the rest of my days. In that way you live on through everyone whose lives you touched. Until we meet again, rest well and peacefully. 

My dad was an amazing man with so many talents and unending knowledge about everything from building things to knowing the history of how something came about to be or how it was produced. He would tell you stories of things he's done and places he's been and would talk for hours, if you let him.  He loved carving and building things with his hands, and had more projects "planned" than one person could possibly accomplish in a lifetime.  Although he was a big man he was actually just a big teddy bear, with a kind heart and caring eyes.  

I will miss you and your big hugs daddy, and our long talks about everything and nothing.  Forever in my heart ❤. Until I see you again.......

Aways wanting to help 
40 plus yrs of family history . Sharing not only your skillset but just how you rolled with life  had its peaceful, calm, uniqueness within itself. 
Endless tales to tell you had. We miss you. 

John was one of the best brothers and brother-in-laws you could ever ask for. He taught me so much about the trades.  When we built our two homes he came to Michigan several times to help us out.  He would do anything for his little sister, Carla’s family.   John is a very talented and wise man.   We will miss him deeply but never forget him. John, RIP, we love you. 

I met John about 1977 or 8. There was not one time in the next 10 or 12 years if I needed help he wasn't there. He did a great many things for my kids. And I know a lot of guys in town that if they were needing a hand he was there to help them. I'm sure he was that way the rest of his life. That's the kind of guy he was. I had been hoping to run into him in town somewhere and catch up a little. He will be missed by many. Go Rest High On That Mountain John you deserve it.
