Josephine Mary Block

Josephine Mary Block, 98, of Merritt Island, FL went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 22, 1919. The family moved from Utica, NY to Merritt Island, FL in 1954. Josephine retired from the Brevard County School Board as a Cafeteria Manager.

Josephine is predeceased by her loving husband Jerry Block, their son Irving N. Block, daughter Geraldine Ann Block, step-son Bernard Block, grandsons Wayne A. Noble, Jr., Daniel J. Noble, granddaughter Dawn M. Noble, great-great-grandson Devin Gabriel Toledo, mother Agnes Cavo, father Carmine Cavo, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

Our loving mother is survived by her daughters Agnes Hensley and Sandra Noble of Cocoa, Florida, 16 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister, and 1 brother.

She was our prayer warrior, our helper, encourager, teacher, and loved sharing her talents with others. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and crafting as she blessed her family and others by her kindness of giving and sharing her love with everyone.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 5 pm at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, 5475 North US Highway 1, Cocoa, FL with a Service to follow at 6pm. On Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2 pm she will be laid to rest at Brevard Memorial Park, 320 Spring Street, Cocoa, FL.
