Ralph Wesley Morrison, 86, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011. He was born May 29, 1925 in Pennsylvania to parents Lee and Mary Morrison.
He joined the military at the age of 18 and became a prisoner of war at the age of 20, receiving a Purple Heart. He married his beloved wife, Sara Hanna, (passed September 12th, 2009) on December 22, 1945.
After the war, he traveled the country, from Alabama, West Virginia, and Michigan to finally settle down in Cocoa, Florida, working for Pan Am in 1958. He was a mechanic and retired in 1988 after 30 years.
Ralph enjoyed life and everything it had to offer, especially when he was with his wife. He loved to go fishing and camping on the river with his friends and family.
After retirement, he became the Dad/Grandpa that everyone dreams of. He would always be the first to help, listen or go with you for whatever you needed or wanted. There was nothing he could not fix, physically or mentally. He always had candy in his pockets and a smile on his face. You knew everything was going to be ok when you were with him.
He leaves behind his Children, Doris Fox, Robert and Cheryl Morrison and Edna and Daniel Morrison; his 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren, 4 Great, Great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother.
Memorial will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Viewing from 10-11 am, ceremony from 11-12 am.
