She was the most loving and carrying mother anyone could be blessed to have. Her voice was as gentle as a lamb. Never speaking harsh or bad about others. She gave us strength and her faith in the Lord gave us guidance throughout our lives. She will forever be our rock.
Ruby dedicated her working life to Southern Bell and Tel until she retired in 1984. Once retired she spent many years fishing with her husband and enjoying competing in bass tournaments. She often caught the biggest fish and it was so rewarding to her. She loved fishing and cooking great home Saturday night meals of a big fish dinner for all of her family.
Ruby’s entire lifetime was giving all her love to her family and going to church at Clearlake Baptist Church for many years. She had many friends she dearly thought the world of there as well as teaching in Sunday School. She loved to hear Sister Stella Robinson, Brother John Grantham, and others sing in their quartets.
Ruby’s mother, Florence Autry Holt played gospel music her entire life on the piano and her grandfather who taught music in the Cairo, GA area. She and families would gather around and sing hymnals with her leaving so many happy memories.
A good Christian woman all her life, we know where she is, now in the arms of Jesus Christ our Lord, gathered together with many loved ones and old friends, singing, praising, walking, and dancing on the streets of gold. We love you forever!!!!
