Sharon Williams Roberts

She was born December 21, 1941, in Syracuse, NY. She was raised in Utica and graduated from St. Francis De Sales School in 1959. In 1961, she married Robert A. Roberts. They started their family in 1962 with the birth of their first son, Bobby. The family lived in many places in the United States, moving to Florida in 1978.

Sharon raised her 5 children as a single mother for the majority of her life. She loved her family above all else; one of her favorite things to do was hold her grandchildren. Sharon was proud of all of her children, her volunteer work with hospice, her Irish heritage, and her green belt in karate.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Roberts; her son, Robert E. Roberts; and her grandson, B.J. Bridgers.

Sharon is survived by her children, Patty (Brian) Bridgers, Marcus (Tina) Roberts, Nicholas (Katy) Roberts, and Matthew (Lauren) Roberts; her sister, Cathy Goretsky; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 5 nieces, and one nephew.

A visitation will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island on October 20, from 10:30-11:30 am, with a funeral mass to follow at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at Brevard Memorial Park immediately following the service.
