Veronica (Vickie) Joan Cowdery, age 91, of Rockledge Florida, passed away on March 18, 2020. Vickie was born in Marion, Ohio on April 12, 1928 to Joseph and Margaret Morrison. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Cowdery; granddaughter Elizabeth Shoup; brother Harold Morrison; and brother John Morrison. She is survived by her son Jon M. Shoup and his wife Barbara Shoup; Grandson Michael Shoup; great grandson Corbin Shoup; and her sister Patricia Morrison, age 97.

Vickie was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She lived in Miami for many years where she met her husband Robert, and worked as a bookkeeper, later retiring as a homemaker. They moved to Brevard County where she volunteered at the Brevard Achievement Center performing bookkeeping duties. Vickie was always active and skilled in various art and crafts, from pottery to weaving with pine needles, and especially in sewing. She was an original member of the Rocket Quilters of Brevard creating many blankets for donation through the Quilts of Love.

Vickie will be missed by her family and many friends. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Robert at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Cocoa, Florida. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Macular Degeneration Foundation or The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Due to the restrictions of the Center for Disease Control attendance at any and all services are restricted to immediate family only.

I have had the great honor of being Miss Vickie's property manager for the last 9 1/2 years. She was our longest term neighbor and we loved having her with us. The community is saddened by her loss and will miss her dearly. Thank you for 21 years, Miss Vickie. You were a true blessing to us.
