

He is survived by his grandchildren Marnie Ellen, William Edmund Ⅳ, and Ian Thomas. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Brenda “Brandee” Carl-Werner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Demetriou and his son, William Edmund Ⅲ.
Bill proudly served in the US Navy until 1954 as an Aviation Boatswain Mate 1st Class. After marrying his beloved wife, Ellen, he was baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church, where he was also a treasured member of the Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Melbourne.
He worked for himself as a carpenter by trade for many years.
Bill was the B.P.O.E. 1991 Exalted Leader of the Mamaroneck, NY Elks Club, where he committed many years in service to others.
He loved his Greek Coffee in the afternoon with a slice of carrot cake on the side. He also loved a good mystery novel, British murder mysteries, and wilderness living reality shows.
Bill enjoyed many cruises with his wife, friends, and family. He loved his fruit trees and was fiercely independent. He was meticulously organized and sharp as a tack. He kept a very strict daily schedule, which he adopted from his days in the military, and always started the day with his morning prayers.
His son and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved them with his whole heart.
His friends thought of him as a true gentleman, always ready with a listening ear and a kind heart, eager to share his wisdom with those he cared about.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 10 – 11 AM with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Melbourne, FL. Burial will take place at Brevard Memorial Park after the funeral service.
