

Jeff Hale Love, 70, of Coldwater, went home to be with the Angels Oct. 20, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born Sept. 24, 1941 in Highland Park, MI to Ervin W. and Edith Lockwood Love, who both preceded him in death.
On May 9, 1969 he married Patricia M. Norton who also preceded him in death. Mr. Love was a graduate of Coldwater High School. He proudly served in the US Navy and the National Guard 1072nd maintenance company in which he served in Germany during Desert Storm.
He worked at ATL Trucking and for the US Post Office in Coldwater when he retired. He was the owner of Love’s Lazy Lagoon Campground and after his retirement he ran the campground, worked for Putnam Funeral Home and Taylor’s Stationers.
He was a straight forward, generous, respectful leader who was loved by many. He was a fantastic grandpa.
He leaves behind four children Lisa Love of Brownsburg, IN, Michelle (Jack) Ross of Coldwater, Patrick and Jeremy Love also of Coldwater. Seven grandchildren, Nicole Reyes, Kasandra Maxwell, Chandler and Ciara Simpson, Megan Love, Laney Ross and Keeley Love. Three great grandchildren, Logan and Hayden Maxwell and Isabella Reyes. Also, many, many friends and family including his extended campground family and his best friend, Patti’s treasure, Ivan "Bubba" Baxter the dog.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday Oct. 28, 2011 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at the Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Matthew McCloskey officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Red Cross.
