Phyllis Jane Reynolds Wheeler

Phyllis Jane (Reynolds) Wheeler, 87, of Bronson, passed away at the Community Health Center of Branch County on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 while surrounded by family. Phyllis was born May 17, 1927 in Shawtown near Burr Oak, MI to Warren and Lottie Belle (Millard) Reynolds. On May 20, 1944 Phyllis married Frank Wheeler.

Phyllis worked as the manager of Snyder’s Laundromat in Bronson and sold Tupperware, Stanley Products and Avon for many years. For a short time Phyllis worked at the former Bronson Reel Company.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of her world. She was a great cook and had a special touch when it came to putting a baby to sleep. Phyllis also loved telling stories of growing up on a farm in a large family and attending a one room schoolhouse. She also enjoyed getting together with friends at the Bronson Knights of Columbus Fish Fry.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Hans Geiger and her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Carol Wheeler, five grandchildren; Shelly (Andy) AcMoody, Angie (Scott) Taylor, Amy (Jason) Bottger, Aaron (Kim) Wheeler and Hans (Nora) Geiger, ten great grandchildren; Matthew and Lydia AcMoody, Paige, Marissa Jane and Seth Taylor, Sebastian Bottger, Ellie and Owen Wheeler and Hans and Marcus Geiger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, brothers; Charles, Thomas and

Howard Reynolds, sisters; Geniece Hilton and Wilma “Peg” Barclay.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Phyllis Wheeler will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, January 3, 2015 with a gathering of friends and family from 10:00 a.m until the time of the service at the First Congregational Church of Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler officiating.
