

She was a loving, caring woman with a big heart. In her entire life she never met a stranger.
She was born in Mebane, North Carolina to the late Helen White and Lewis Holt. They moved to Brooklyn, New York when she was a young child. Christine graduated from White Plains High School in New York. While there, she did some modeling and worked at First Bank and Trust
as a credit analyst.
Sometime past, she moved back to North Carolina opened a floral shop in 1977. It was named Christine‘s Florist Shop. She eventually closed the shop and moved to Indianapolis to work for Stein Mart. After a while, she moved to Roswell, Georgia, to become a manager at Stein Mart in Roswell,
Georgia, until she retired in 2003. Christine remained in Georgia until she completed her race.
Her hobbies were visual arts, knitting, quilting, tennis, modeling, swimming, and horseback riding.
Christine was married to James W. Johnson in 1951 White Plains, New York. After sometime past, she married Garland Malone in 1987 Mebane, North Carolina.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: James W. Johnson (Laura), 3 sons and 3 daughters; Jayson W. Johnson (Tricia), 2 daughters; Jamila W. Johnson, daughter Jacquette Walker; son, Christopher Philip Jr.; Jasmine W Johnson-Williams (Larry), 1 daughter and 4 sons; Sameka S. Johnson, 2 sons; Stepsons, Tyrone and Tyson Crisp; Jerome W. Johnson, Cynthia Johnson ( Kenya), Jerome W.
Johnson Jr., Devonte Johnson (Alexandria) with 3 sons, De’Quan “DJ” Johnson, with 1 daughter and 2 sons; Shayla C. Johnson, Kaitlyn R. Johnson. She also left behind a host of great great grandchildren, family, and friends. Special friends were Rue Powers from Texas, Sis. Elin Ronquilo
in Georgia and Connie Rowland from Indiana, among many others.
A visitation for Christine will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5755 Mallory Road, College Park, GA 30349.
