Gladys R. Jones

A direct burial for Gladys will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5755 Mallory Road, College Park, Ga 30349.

Mrs. Gladys Robbins Jones of Gainesville, GA. passed away peacefully on January 15, 2023. She joins her beloved husband, Richard Southgate Jones and daughter, Linda Jones Henderson in eternal peace.

Mrs. Jones was born on October 15, 1928 in Birmingham, AL.She attended Woodlawn High School where she participated in several clubs, including the Junior Red Cross. During this time, she developed a love for football that she maintained throughout her life - Rolltide! Mrs. Jones and her husband eventually moved to Georgia where they reared two daughters. She was extremely talented and had a variety of interests. Some of these included sewing, gardening, fishing and baking. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Good Shepard Catholic Church and volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at South Fulton Hospital prior to moving to Gainesville. Survivors include: daughters, Deborah Jones; grandchildren, Donovan (Amanda) Jones; Rick (Crystal) Patmore, Jennifer (Cody) Westbrook; Vanessa (Russell) Gore. She also had 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Jones will be buried beside her beloved husband, Richard in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens under a marker that says, "Together Forever". Mom/Nanny - "Well Done. God Bless.
