Linda Yunggebauer, beloved mother, devoted wife, and unapologetic lover of beautiful things, passed away on May 13, 2026. She was 70 years old and had called Douglasville, Georgia home.
To know Linda was to know someone who moved through the world with style, warmth, and a laugh that could fill any room. She had an eye for beauty in all its forms — whether she was reimagining a living space or putting together the perfect outfit — and she believed that life was simply better when it was well-appointed.
Linda was married to the love of her life, Fred, who preceded her in death three years ago. She never quite forgave him for leaving her with four dogs, and made sure everyone knew it — though anyone who knew Linda knew that those dogs were cherished down to the last one. Her faithful companion Buffy remains behind, surely missing her most.
Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her daughter, Darcy. Linda took particular delight in what she called her most important motherly duty: corrupting Darcy with a love of shopping, makeup, and manicures. She considered it a rousing success, and never missed a chance to laugh about it with Fred.
Linda leaves behind her daughter Darcy, her beloved Buffy, and a community of people whose lives were brightened by her presence, her generosity, and her impeccable taste.
She was one of a kind, she knew it, and everyone around her knew it, too.
