Christi Ann (Willie) Tipton, 50, of College Station passed away June 4, 2013 at her residence in College Station. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
Christi was born August 5, 1962 in Beaumont, TX. She grew up in Texas City, TX and graduated from Texas City High School and Sam Houston State University. She was married in 1982 to Christopher Tipton in Huntsville, TX.
Christi spent the last two years of her life helping to care for her maternal grandmother, ill with Alzheimer’s. She will be remembered by her family and friends not only for her compassion, but for her writing talent, sense of humor, lifelong love of books and her fearless cooking experiments. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Tipton, grandparents, Tom & Sue Sears and Roy & Joyce Willie of Orange, TX.
Survivors include her parents, Marvin & Janet Willie of Mountain Home, TX; sister, Staci Palermo & her husband Damon of The Woodlands; nephews, Nick & Luke Palermo; niece, Toni Palermo; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Christi will be greatly missed by friends and family.
