

Chris was born August 24, 1973 in Bryan, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, July 20th from 1:00 pm until 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, Texas. A private service will be held for immediate family.
Chris attended Snook High School through his junior year, receiving his GED, and later pursued an associate’s degree. He began his work career at Kelly Burt Dozer as a heavy equipment operator. Later he moved to Connecticut for two years while holding the same position before moving back to Texas. He worked for the City of Bryan for a short time before joining Atkinson Toyota as a Service Writer. In December 2020, he moved to Pearland.
Chris was baptized as an infant, but later proclaimed his faith in Christ, and followed with baptism by immersion on May 17, 2020. During his teen years, he traveled to Austria with Teen Missions International to help with building projects for churches. He loved reading the Bible with his son Tristan and praying and singing with him. Chris enjoyed watching Texas University football and watching Astros games of which he took his daughter Brittany to many times. Chris enjoyed long talks with Tyler after his many Navy Reserve drills at his house, and this time was precious to them both. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and being outdoors. Chris loved his sausage rolls and cottage cheese kolaches, along with Mom’s fried chicken.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Nathaniel Yezak; his brother, Joshua Joseph Yezak and sister, Cheryl Denise Cox; maternal grandparents, Joe & Annie Holick; paternal grandparents,
Reece & Josephine Yezak; aunts, Gladys Copeland and Joyce Holick; uncles, Raymond Holick, James Holick and Alvin Copeland; and great-nephew, Jackson Yezak.
Survivors include parents, Betty & Mike Priest, and Billy and Linda Yezak; siblings, Lori & Michael Yezak, Jennifer & John Lusher II, Wesley & Evelyn Priest and Tony and Nora Yezak; daughter, Brittany and Jon Paul McPeake of Bryan; sons, Tyler & Tina Yezak of Bryan and Tristan Yezak of Pearland; grandchildren, Chloe, Gabriel & Charlotte McPeake and Emma, Lisa & Logan Yezak; nieces, Tabytha Yezak, Nikki Yezak and Amelia Lusher; nephews, Seth Yezak, Jordan Priest, Ezekiel Priest and Joey Yezak; great-nephew Samuel Yezak;and other loving relatives, Krysten Yezak, Christina Black, Kimberly Benavidas and many other friends and relatives.
