Evelyn Dowling Wiese

Evelyn Dowling Wiese, 86, of Wellborn passed away January 18th at the Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility in Bryan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 22nd at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 23rd at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Interment will follow at Wellborn Cemetery.

Mrs. Wiese was born November 18, 1929 in Wellborn, the daughter of Robert Cecil and Tennie Warren Dowling. She was married to Rudy Wiese and together they raised five children. After retiring from Texas A&M, Mrs. Wiese was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed keeping her feeder full to watch and identify the various birds that made her yard their home.

Mrs. Wiese was preceded in death by her parents; Robert & Tennie Dowling; her husband, Rudy Wiese; two brothers, Robert and Bud Dowling; and a grandson Jacob Wiese.

Survivors include her five children, Nancy Wiese, Mark Wiese & his wife Alice, Bridget Jones & her husband Greg, Polly Wilson & her husband John, and Carla Lujan & her husband Edmundo; two sisters, Lillie Jackson, and Pat Wiese; one brother, James Dowling & his wife Sue; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W 26th Street, Bryan, TX 77803.
